As stated by Nelson Mandela, education is the most potent weapon that can be used to change the world. Through proper education, any person can develop socially, emotionally, and professionally.
The zonal Education office becomes the entity that works closely with the school community in establishing the learning and teaching process by changing the shape of education to suit the rapidly changing socio-economic conditions as an institute.
It is a pleasure to be the Zonal Director of Education in the Colombo education zone, which comprises of a passionate and committed staff who provides a quality service to a diverse community in ethnicity and religion. It is my main responsibility to lead officers in the zonal education office to provide quality service using modern technology by reorganizing the office work environment and work culture in order to meet the needs of clients and provide them with satisfactory service.
The main tasks of my role as the Zonal Director of Education are to lead and guide the provision of learning resources for continuous teacher development and quality development of education, maintaining an established teaching-learning process with the input of education officers, teacher advisors, and principals.
I’m determined to create satisfied stakeholders and a student community with developed life skills through conducting well-planned education development programs with the collaboration of all the academic and non-academic members of the system of education and the external stakeholders.
I believe that this website will be a great help and the first step for a long-lasting journey.
